Hillary Clinton is motivated by serving this country and providing care to people all over the world. She has accomplished both of these things and led others by example. In this way, she fufills an important moral purpose. She owns her own mistakes and encourages others to be responsible for the actions that they commit and the decisions they make. Her work with the Children's Defense Fund and Veterans Administration spotlights her need to care for the disenfranchised in this country and around the world.
The change process in her life has come with a price. Her willingness to achieve new positions of power have focused intense scrutiny on her personal and professional life. However, she has dominated change in the political arena by both her senate and presidential candidacies. Along the way, she has built amazing relationships with some of the most powerful people in the world and this has enhanced her global credibility and will aid her efforts as Secretary of State. As First Lady, she had a close personal relaionship with Jackie Kennedy Onassis and this friendship highlighted her interest in education and children's issues. This was further evidenced by her appearance in 1995, at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women, in Beijing, China, where she was invited to discuss, with many international leaders, the U. S. position on women's rights as human rights.
Anyone who watched the confirmation hearings of Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State cannot doubt the wealth of knowledge that she possesses. Her confidence and ability to communicate her views was a credit to everyone who is hoping for peace and prosperity around the world. Her ability to unite people and inspire them to create positive change is supported by her work on national health care and education issues. She practices coherence making every time she gives a speech or supports a program for the silenced voices of women and children around the world. She maintains an energetic lifestyle devoted to her family, career and country. She is a tireless example of committed and caring leadership.

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteAs I read through your description of Mrs. Clinton, I see many similarities between her and Bill Gates. Both are extremely successful in their professions and demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, but I truly admire the fact that both are caring people who use their success to help the less fortunate. You mentioned several ways that Hillary Clinton has fought for human rights around the world and Bill and Melinda Gates are able to do the same though their foundation. Using power and leadership for the betterment of the world is truly an honorable message that our leaders send to the word.

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteI watched the confirmation hearings of Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State. I agree she possesses confidence and clearly communicates her views. She is an example of a committed leader. Hillary Clinton is like Donald Trump in that they share the qualities of confidence and commitment. Like Clinton, Trump voices his beliefs and creates public awareness. I believe both Clinton and Trump inspire individuals to create positive change.
